Our climate goal: Net zero by 2050
Hortiful GmbH & Co. KG has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. To this end, we are pursuing the following science-based interim targets:
■ No deforestation in our key deforestation-relevant raw material supply chains by December 31, 2025, at the latest.
BY 2030
■ 80% of our suppliers whose emissions from upstream transport and distribution are tracked are to have science-based climate targets (Science Based Targets) in place.
BY 2034
■ 58.8% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions (base year: 2024).
■ 42.4% reduction in absolute Scope 3 FLAG greenhouse gas emissions (base year: 2024).*
BY 2050
■ 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions (base year: 2024).
■ 90% reduction in absolute Scope 3 emissions from upstream transport and distribution.
■ 72% reduction in absolute Scope 3 FLAG greenhouse gas emissions (base year: 2024).*
* The FLAG targets cover both emissions and CO₂ removals.

Sustainable cultivation, resource conservation, and climate-friendly logistics are key goals that we are continuously working to achieve.
Environmental and climate protection are integral parts of our corporate policy. Together with our producers, we are working on resource-efficient cultivation methods, the protection of natural habitats, the reduction of packaging and food waste, and more climate-friendly transport and logistics solutions.
We pursue science-based climate targets in accordance with the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) standard and are implementing them throughout our supply chain.

Traceability and food safety
Transparency builds trust. That is why we ensure complete traceability of our products throughout the entire supply chain. Every shipment can be traced back to its origin. In addition, our products are regularly inspected and tested for compliance with all legal requirements regarding quality, food safety, and residue levels.
